Stuff - Illustration Friday - Baby
I found a delightful picture of a Baby Elephant in my collage stash, so I colored the BW picture and surrounded it with joy: a crumpled tissue paper, plastic flower that became a tree, and wound up thread.
Ah the art of collage/assemblage...isn't it so nice and freeing to just take the elements that appeal to you, mix them as you wish and voilà...your own creation?! I think that's one of the things I like best about collage!

I cannot draw to save my life, but I love collage. I love mixing materials to make a new work.
Interesting combination. Elephants are such fascinating creatures. I've heard of elephants doing paintings, I wonder if they do collage? :)
It would be funny!
